David "Dave" Tell was born in 1945. He was an artist and educator who lived and worked in Bloomington, Illinois and passed away January 9, 1998.

Tell participated in a collaborative print project at Normal Editions Workshop as one of four art faculty in a four print set: CVA Suite Vol. II at the School of Art at Illinois State University in 1980.
