James D. Butler was born in 1945 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. He is an artist living and working in Bloomington, Illinois.
Butler has numerous outstanding accomplishments in his art career, including founding Normal Editions Workshop in 1976. His vision still influences Normal Editions today.
