Michael Chandler was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He is an artist living and working in New York City since the early 80’s and now divides his time between home and studio bases in Garrison, New York, and Vinalhaven, Maine.

Chandler participated a collaborative print project which resulted in four limited edition prints at Normal Editions Workshop during a short-term residency in the School of Art at Illinois State University in 2000.
