Xiaowen Chen was born in Dalian, China and moved to the United States in 1987. Chen is an artist living and working in Alfred, New York. as a member of the faculty in the School of Art & Design at Alfred University.

Normal Editions Projects

Chen participated in a collaborative print project at Normal Editions Workshop after finishing his MFA at the School of Art at Illinois State University in 1992 and returned to campus to contribute to the celebration of N.E.W.'s 30th anniversary as a panel member in 2007.
