This year's print sale and exhibition will be a virtual event held online. Sales will be open online November 17, 2020 through January 22, 2021. Please read and follow the new method for participation in keeping with CDC protocols due to COVID19.
We encourage all Illinois State University Printmaking students, faculty and staff to participate in the exhibition and sale. Alumni are also welcome to participate. The deadline to submit work is November 6, 2020.
We anticipate checks being sent out in February 2021. The University will write checks from the proceeds after the sale. Twenty percent (20%) of all sales will be used to support the Illinois State University Printmaking Program. This donation will be deducted from the prices you listed on the submission form.
Limited number of works: No more than 20* different prints per artist will be represented in the online gallery for sale. (*multiple impressions—up to 10—of the same print--may be submitted by adding the additional impression numbers for that option in the submission form.)
Images submitted should accurately represent the work and be in JPEG format with maximum dimensions of 1280 pixels in each direction. If you don’t have a good image, we can scan the work for you.
All prints must be archival quality. Wrapping prints in clear protection is not recommended this year since there will not be any physical browsing by the public. Each item should be marked clearly with the artist’s name, title, price, and corresponding number from the list on the submission form.
Artwork will be accepted for the sale via appointments for curbside drop-off after online submission information is received. Email email@example.com to set up an appointment. Curbside drop-off will take place in the loading area of CVA (Center for the Visual Arts building) accessed from Beaufort Street. Appointments can be made for November 2, 4, 5, and 9.
20% of all sales will go to support the Illinois State University Printmaking Program and be deducted from the price listed above. Checks from the proceeds will be written by the University after the sale and mailed to the artist and address on the submission form.
Reasonable care will be given in the handling of the works during the sale. However, the printmaking area does not provide insurance against nor assume responsibility for loss or damage to works submitted. By participating in this sale and exhibition, the artist accepts the terms of the agreement.
Unsold works may be picked January 25 - February 1, 2021 by appointment. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up an appointment. Unsold works not picked up by February 1, 2021 without contact for a later appointment will be disposed of at the discretion of the Printmaking Area.
I have read the Artist’s Agreement and understand the requirements for participation in the 36th Annual Printmakers’ Exhibition and Sale event, sponsored by the Printmaking Area and Normal Editions in the Wonsook Kim School of Art at Illinois State University, and agree to abide by all social distancing requirements in the drop-off and pick-up of submitted art. By submitting this online entry, I signify agreement with the terms listed in the Artist’s Agreement, including authorization to post images of my art and likeness (as provided by me or scanned at my requested) online for the event website and social media promotions.
