Rudy Pozzatti was born on January 14, 1925 in Telluride, Colorado and died March 27, 2021 in Bloomington, Indiania. He was an esteemed artist, printmaker, and teacher who developed Indiana University's printmaking program.

Pozzatti participated in the largest contract print project to date, consisting of 12 large-scale editions, at Normal Editions Workshop at the School of Art at Illinois State University in 2009-2010. He was the Keynote Speaker for Normal Edition's 30th anniversary conference, Frontiers in Printmaking, in 2007 and the School of Art's Creativity Symposium in 2012.
